Who We Are
The Queen’s University Anxiety Research Lab is a research group from Kingston, Ontario, Canada. Research projects are conducted in the W. J. Henderson Centre for Patient Oriented Research, in Kingston General Hospital. QAnxiety is affiliated to the Centre for Neuroscience Studies at Queen’s University and to the Kingston General Hospital Research Institute.
The Vision
The goals of QAnxiety are to expand the knowledge and develop new treatments for anxiety and related disorders through research. We foster collaboration between research groups in Canada and overseas because we believe this is the best way to do research. Training researchers in a stimulating environment is a priority for QAnxiety.
Our Lab Lead
The lead of QAnxiety is Dr. Rafael Freire, academic psychiatrist and Associate Professor in the Department of Psychiatry at Queen’s University. Dr. Freire has 21 years of clinical and research experience with anxiety and related disorders.
